TTTHedge.com reports its abbreviated 5 month year end results for it two trading funds. In August of 2009 the TTT Hedge.com trading group began tracking the real time trades of Tom Malone (TomTheTrader) in the TTTHedge.com trading room. These time stamped trades have been entered and preserved by members of the TTThedge.com trading group. The room currently trades 3 different funds with different timing and risk goals for each fund. The Traders fund is for higher risk 1 to 5 day trades and is used to hedge the other two funds or take more aggressive positions. The Main fund is for more conservative swing type trades with a trade length between 5 and 20 days. An IRA fund was re-introduced in November. The IRA fund’s goal is to pick high performance investments with a lower amount of risk and a longer holding period. The IRA fund is not reported in this report but is included in the Q4 report.
Fund tracking does not include dividends, cash interest nor commissions. Trade information is provided in the end of this release for personal modeling.
In the Traders account the initial $100,000 balance by the end of the period had yield an increase of $88.6K, a return of 88% of the original balance. The Main fund returned $111K from a $500K balance a 22.22% return over the 5 month period and 53.3% return annualized. The SPX during the same time frame was up 13% or a 31% annualized rate.
For cash flow, the TTTHedge.com funds returned positive cash almost on a daily basis.
The largest Draw-down was 3.03% of funds. It took just 10 day to return to a positive higher balance.
Trade Statistics:
In the five month period Tom made 974 trades of which 764 were breakeven to profitable yielding a 78% success rate. Of the 974 trades 625 were market longs yielding about 75% of the funds profits at $254 average profit per trade. On the short side 349 trades were opened and closed yielding on average $156 per trade.
